The Title System is one of the most visible ways you'll express your progression on REV2. Titles are always next to your character's name and signal what you've achieved. We want your feedback on how the system works, the categories, and the point costs before and after launch.

Title System

Titles tie directly into the achievement system — cosmetic rewards displayed above your character name, a way to show off what you've accomplished. Three types are available, each with 10 unique titles per category.

Achievement Category Titles

Tied to specific accomplishment categories. Reach certain milestones in a skill category and you unlock titles related to that skill. Hit wealth thresholds and earn economy titles. Complete enough combat achievements and unlock combat titles. These give your title real meaning — other players know exactly what you did to earn it.

Prestige Titles

Purchased with achievement points but not tied to any category. For well-rounded players who want to show off overall accomplishment — available to anyone with enough total points regardless of how they were earned.

Legendary Titles

The rarest tier — each can be earned by only one player ever. Granted automatically upon completing a specific legendary achievement. Permanent, cannot be sold, and once claimed by someone, gone forever.

Dynamic Titles — Coming Later

Titles that update automatically based on live standings — things like "The 1%" for top wealth holders, or titles tied to leading a skill highscore. These will rotate as rankings shift, so there's always something to compete for.

How It Works

Titles are cosmetic text displayed next to characters name in-game. Example: PlayerName the Warmaster

You earn title points by completing achievements. Higher difficulty achievements award more points:

  • Basic — 1 point
  • Intermediate — 2 points
  • Advanced — 3 points
  • Elite — 5 points
  • Legendary — 10 points

Once you have points, you spend them in the in-game Titles Shop to unlock titles.

Two Requirements for Category Titles

Most titles have two requirements you must meet simultaneously:

1. Point Cost — spent from your total point pool (any achievement counts toward this)
2. Category Score — the total points you've earned specifically within that category

For example, a Melee Combat title might cost 25 points to purchase and require a Melee Combat category score of 17. You need both. Having 100 total points but only 5 Melee points won't be enough.

Prestige titles are the exception — they only require a point cost, no category score. Anyone with enough total points can buy them regardless of playstyle.

Buying and Selling

You can sell any purchased title back for a full point refund. This means you can freely upgrade as you progress — buy lower titles early, sell them back, and put those points toward better ones later. Titles are character-bound and cannot be traded.

Legendary Titles

Legendary titles work completely differently. They are not purchased — they are granted automatically when you complete a specific legendary achievement. They are permanent, cannot be sold, and each one can only ever be held by one player on the entire server. Once claimed, it's gone.

Legendary Titles

One player. One chance. Once claimed, gone forever.

Category Titles

Each category has 10 titles unlocked by accumulating points within that achievement category group. The number in brackets is the point cost to purchase — you also need the matching category score shown in parentheses.

Prestige Titles

No category requirement. Pure point cost — available to anyone with enough total points regardless of how they were earned. These titles have high point cost, but don't require score in any particular category.

Which skills will be deactivated at launch? Are all the skills listed in the legendary titles activated? I saw it was F2P only but I see some members skills in the list.

Only F2P content will be available at launch. Which means - no Herblaw, Thieving, Agility, Fletching. Without members content some other skills will be a big chore to train.

Title system is not in any way connected to the game content status, just the Legendary titles and certain achievements will be impossible to get. On this post I have presented all titles that will be available from launch for F2P and P2P.

We will collectively decide when is a good time to move from F2P to P2P, it will be when we feel F2P is well progressed or too tight for the playerbase.
