Combat XP seems too high.

Race  for flats will take weeks not months maybe few days.

Drops of stackables - like runes should be increased maybe 2x for single sub 2x for double subs

All wild afk spots should have 2x NPCs

Remember original rsc you had 4 servers to
Hop between at hobs etc

So
Like graveyard / hobs - maybe ice BK maze

Portals but not everywhere - few max - dray / al karid / bandit maybe

What XP rate would you think is reasonable?


Key rune drops were boosted, but not by a flat 2x. Wilderness has additional boost for drops. Thanks for sharing the suggestion.

We are increasing count of npcs in key wilderness or afk training areas.

Well it’s tough because I want fast exp and I don’t

The servers that lasted the longest never had too slow

However original rev starting months were great

I’d say max 8x

was thinking 3-5x you put skills at 2x, figure it out homie long term or short term 99 flats within a week or alittle more. 14x is high

All the f2p spots are going to be crowded, and then you will have addy baxe and some mithril / addy armour at best, so 12x will feel slower than you think. Then theres prayer/mage/range which is going to take alot of time to get to a high level in f2p.
As i mentioned in the other topic, if they add drag bone farming to f2p, then i believe f2p could go for a long time, but if not, players will ask for p2p sooner than you think, because training prayer with reg bones/big bones is going to take alot of time.

Even with addy baxe you’ll get flats in a few days

Way too fast IMO

Prayer being slow ain’t big deal and f2p only
Need 69 magic - again couple days done

I wrote this in a different forum yesterday but I agree on combat being too high at 8x rising to 12x+ for subs. Should be 8x absolutely max, starting at 4x or something. I also agree hunger for P2P is going to arrive quickly anyway, but especially if combat is so quick.

the combat rates are absolutely fine, there are servers out at the moment with very low rates and they got 5 unique players. Most people are in their 30s or 40s, have jobs and families and don't have the time to play 16 hours a day like these Army dudes demanding slower rates. The skilling rates are super low and could be a little bit higher aswell, same with magic/ranged/prayer exp rates, but i guess they'll do.

If the combat rates were 4x ang 8x whilst subbed, the server would die before it even launched. You can play ironman if you want to, the rest of us have other  to do than train 3 months to be able to compete with you nerds in wilderness.

Thank you all for sharing feedback, it's extremely helpful. Please keep it coming so we have more data to build a picture what people want.

Overall people seem to have wish to lower the xp rate, extending the run up to flats and enjoying the freshness of a new start longer.

Low-level pking is fun as hell when it's open-world-pvp.  Old pk/non-pk system.  Pre-wildy.  Early 2001.

Suddenly you're not separating "skilling" from "pking" because they were all rolled into one. 

You want armor?  Fine.  Go mine ores, have your clan protect you, walk you to furnace, then hammer, then bank, and fight for dominance over the mine/anvil.

XP rates become irrelevant because everyone is low level, and you can keep the xp rates low and everyone is having a blast because you don't need flats to pk.  No race to endgame.
